 What got you into riding?

Growing up in the Blue Mountains it just happened really, all of my friends rode and I fell in love with riding straightaway. When I saw footage of the 96 world champs at Cairns I was blown away, that made me realize that I wanted to be a Mtb'er.

What was your first bike?

It was a hand-me-down BMX from a cousin, it didn't last too long!

How would you describe your riding?

I don't think im particularly good at anything on the bike, but I seem to make do. Every time I see another tall guy riding they look really clumsy, so I suppose I do as well. I try to be as smooth as possible.

What is your routine before competition?

Haven't really got one yet! I suppose I just do the normal things, like keeping hydrated, eating high energy foods and stretching. I tend to race well if I have pizza the night before which is a little weird but it works for me! Oh, and HEAPS of sleep the night before.

What do you do if you aren't riding?

Work full time unfortunately! Otherwise hangout with my friends/girlfriend, watch heaps of motorsport, have a bludge in general. Whole days have been lost to the couch and crappy daytime TV.

Who do you like to ride with/against?

Every time Trev, my house mate and I go riding together I have heaps of fun. I also really enjoy going on rides with my friends who just ride for fun, helps remind you why you ride in the first place. As far as competition goes, everyone is pretty cool to race with, except Trev. He knows too much:-}

Where is your favorite place to ride?

I love trails in pine forests, they always seem to flow so well, like Lithgow or Majura. Im quite happy with the riding in the Blue Mountains as well, naturally.

What is your most memorable ride?

I can't decide between doing the 6 foot track out and back and blowing up so badly I fell asleep in the shower, or doing a 200km road ride with Trev on new years day 2006 -the hottest day in 60 years or so!
